Horizon Steel was established in 1979 and is still today a successful family run business in Tucson Arizona. Horizon Steel under the direction of its President Jim Caffall and the Caffall family has slowly grown the business into a 'state of the art' fabrication facility. Horizon has completed many prestigious projects such as the Citibank Tower (Tucson), The Hoover Dam Visitors Center and assisted in many of the large casino projects in Las Vegas.
The most recent investment for Horizon has been in a Voortman V630/1000 sawing and drilling system. This system says Caffall “was selected after careful consideration of other suppliers in today's competitive market. We soon realized the technology combined with quality and performance was far superior to the alternative's currently available.”
Caffall also said, “Voortman knew what the fabricator wanted as they also have a fabrication facility producing 15,000 tons per year so they could develop machines and software prior to releasing them to the open market. The Voortman organization is significant and global but they have not forgotten their grass roots as a fabricator.”
