VB-series of Band sawing machines
Voortman developed five models of band sawing machines especially for the sawing of structural steel. Four sawing machines have been developed for mitre cutting. The fifth is designed for straight cutting of profiles. The sawing machines are equipped with a material sensor, powered rotary brush to remove chips and a hydraulic clamping system and carbide guides on both sides of the saw band. The band speed is frequency controlled and the feed rate is automatically controlled to suit the profile type and size. The saw clamping and feed are hydraulically controlled.
The sawing machines can be combined with a medium duty or with the heavy-duty length measuring system and also a roller feed measuring system.
