An overview of the history of Voortman

1968 Voortman brothers started a company in a farm building at 'de Middeldijk' in Rijssen

1974 The company moves from 'de Middeldijk' to an industrial estate 'de Mors'.

1976 Voortman began design and build of structural steel buildings.

1978 Two separate companies were established: one for machinery manufacture, Voortman Automatisering and one for structural steel fabrication, Voortman Staalbouw.

Both companies independently grow and the investment in additional and buildings is required to help sustain the growth.

1992 New Extension of the workshop of Voortman Automatisering.

At the end of the Nineties Voortman Automatisering had expanded so much that the move to new, larger premises had become necessary.
